Our events coordinator and management team will take all the time necessary to work with you in designing the menu offering, beverage matches, and dining environment you require to ensure an exceptional event.
We offer the following information in hopes of answering some questions while you are in the planning process of your event and help guide your decision making. Booking Your Event
All bookings are taken on a first come first serve basis.
Deposit
We do not require a deposit to book a reservation. We do require a valid credit card number to reserve and confirm a booking.
A firm number of attendees must be confirmed 24 hours prior to the event. This confirmed number would be the minimum number that is charged on the day of the event. (Based on the agreed menu price)
Minimum Charge Expectations
Large Private Room
- Dinner: $2000
- Lunch: $1200
Half Room
- Dinner: $1000
- Lunch: $600
If a group's total guest check does not reach the minimum amount applicable, the minimum charge will become the check total plus tax and gratuity.
Room Capacity
Sit down dinner or Lunch
- Large Room: 28 people maximum
- Half room: 14 people maximum
Stand-up cocktail function
- Large Room: 35 people maximum
- Half Room: 20 people maximum
Room capacities can be affected by the set-up details.
Please consult with us to help determine the most comfortable seating arrangement for your function.
Menus
At Ki, our menu is comprised of a variety of smaller portion items, shared amongst the table allowing all guests to enjoy a variety of flavours from different sections of the menu.
Here at ki we offer private function menus exclusively to our guests that are booking a private dining room. These menus are designed to give each event a tour of our menu offerings. As you will see, the menu items are brought steadily to the table in three to five waves of service.
We do offer our a la carte menu as well to our private diners, although due to the nature of our service style, we don't recommend the a la carte menu for groups over 10 people.
Personalized Menus
We are happy to personalise and custom print menus for you with a company logo, slogan or personalized message that reflects the type on function that you are hosting.
Wine
When dining in our private rooms we also offer the service of pre-ordering your wine. We will be happy to supply you with a current wine list for you to choose from. If you require assistance with choosing your wine, we would be happy to assist you with that as well.
Cancellations/ No Show
If you cancel your reservation 24 hrs. prior to your function, there will be no cancellation charge.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice, will be charged a $500 cancellation charge to be applied to the credit card number given at the time of booking.
If a function does not show up for their reservation, a $500 "no show" charge will be applied to the credit card number given at the time of booking.
Meeting Facility / AV Equipment
There are power outlets in each of the rooms. We have projector screens available for use for our private dining guests at no extra change, subject to availability. We also have free wireless internet available throughout the restaurant.
If your function requires audiovisual equipment beyond this, we are happy to accept deliveries of equipment that you have arranged, on your behalf the day of the reservation.
Sushi Presentation
A nice addition to your experience here at ki, we offer the unique experience of a sushi demonstration. The demonstration is conducted by one of our acclaimed Sushi Chefs that are skilled in the art of Sushi cutting. You and your guests will learn about crafting Sashimi, Nigiri, and Makimonos.
To allow for space for the demonstration, this is available to functions under the size of 20 people in a large room and under 10 people in a small room. The charge for the Sushi Demonstration is $ 150.00 (approx. 1 hour)
Sake Tasting
Here at ki we are happy to offer sake tasting upon request. There is no charge for this, other than the product used. The tasting is performed similar to a standard wine tasting with additional information about the history of sake itself. The tasting is lead by one of our in-house Sake experts.
We also offer traditional wine tastings as well as cocktail tastings. Similar to the Sake tasting, these are available upon request and the charge is only for consumption of product.
